Monument Strategies operates in many broad areas of the policy debate. Although not limited to the following subject matters, we have highlighted just a few examples of our successful work on behalf of our clients below.   1. TCF Financial

    TCF hired Monument Strategies to help navigate Congress during one of the most sweeping financial reform periods in our nation's history. Monument Strategies works extensively with the Congressional delegations where TCF has a presence in the United States and continues to be TCF's voice on Capitol Hill.

    TCF is a Wayzata, Minnesota-based national bank holding company with $18.3 billion in total assets. TCF has 440 banking offices in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Arizona and South Dakota, providing retail and commercial banking services. TCF also conducts commercial leasing and equipment finance business in all 50 states and commercial inventory finance business in the U.S. and Canada.

  2. McLaren Health System

    McLaren Health System has worked with Monument Strategies for almost a decade. Monument Strategies has helped McLaren work on such issues as durable medical equipment, long term care, graduate medical education, wage index reclassification and Medicare reimbursement issues. In addition, Monument Strategies has helped McLaren secure millions of dollars in federal congressional directed projects for McLaren's hospitals. Projects include funding for addiction treatment, medical equipment, cancer centers, and other infrastructure projects.

    McLaren Health Care Corporation is one of the top 25 integrated health care systems in the United States. McLaren's reach embraces 29 counties in Michigan with 2,052 licensed beds and eight regional hospitals--McLaren Regional Medical Center (Flint); Lapeer Regional Medical Center (Lapeer); Ingham Regional Medical Center and Ingham Regional Orthopedic Hospital(Lansing); Bay Regional Medical Center and Bay Special Care Hospital (Bay City); Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center (Mt. Clemens); and POH Regional Medical Center (Pontiac).

As a result, Monument Strategies has helped become an integral part of the debate as Congress shapes telecommunications policy., based in Long Beach, CA, is the leading provider of free one-to-many collaborative communication solutions.

  4. Coppin State University

    Monument Strategies has represented Coppin State University for almost a decade on Capitol Hill. Over the years, Monument Strategies has helped Coppin State achieve many policy successes as well as helped to secure millions of dollars in federal congressional directed projects for Coppin State. Projects include funding for the Nursing School, programmatic funding for research, and funds for infrastructure projects.

    In addition, Monument Strategies successfully helped Coppin State work with the Maryland Congressional delegation to amend the Higher Education Act (HEA). This effort resulted in the creation of a new section in the HEA for HBCU's that have graduate programs. This new section of the HEA provides annual funding for Coppin State's School of Nursing. Coppin State University is a historically black college located in Baltimore, Maryland. It is part of the University System of Maryland.

  5. Astronics-DME Corporation

    Astronics-DME Corporation has worked with Monument Strategies for a decade. Astronics-DME Corporation hired Monument Strategies to help it build a Capitol Hill presence as well as to ensure the annual appropriation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) budget for runway lighting systems are adequate. Year after year, Monument Strategies has worked with the U.S. Congress to successfully ensure that lighting systems at our nation's airports are sufficiently funded, which has resulted in greater public safety for millions of passengers every year.
