Monument Strategies operates in many broad areas of the policy debate. Although not limited to the following subject matters, we have highlighted just a few examples of our successful work on behalf of our clients below.   1. TCF Financial


    TCF hired Monument Strategies to help navigate Congress during one of the most sweeping financial reform periods in our nation's history. Monument Strategies works extensively with the Congressional delegations where TCF has a presence in the United States and continues to be TCF's voice on Capitol Hill.

    TCF is a Wayzata, Minnesota-based national bank holding company with $18.3 billion in total assets. TCF has 440 banking offices in Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Arizona and South Dakota, providing retail and commercial banking services. TCF also conducts commercial leasing and equipment finance business in all 50 states and commercial inventory finance business in the U.S. and Canada.

  2. McLaren Health Care


    McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is a $6 billion (budget FY21), fully integrated, nonprofit health care delivery system committed to quality, evidence-based patient care and cost efficiency. The McLaren system includes 15 hospitals in Michigan and Ohio, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, a 490-member employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering approximately 640,000 lives in Michigan and Indiana, home health, infusion and hospice providers, pharmacy services, a clinical laboratory network and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company. McLaren operates Michigan's largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, one of only 51 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S.

    As part of its Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, McLaren maintains academic affiliations with medical schools at Wayne State University, Michigan State University and Central Medical University. McLaren's six (6) GME campuses offer 27 residencies and eight (8) fellowship programs that train over 650 future physicians annually.     FreeConferenceCall.com hired Monument Strategies to help establish a presence on Capitol Hill. As a result, Monument Strategies has helped Freeconferencecall.com become an integral part of the debate as Congress shapes telecommunications policy.

  4. Coppin State University


    Monument Strategies has represented Coppin State University for almost a decade on Capitol Hill. Over the years, Monument Strategies has helped Coppin State achieve many policy successes as well as helped to secure millions of dollars in federal congressional directed projects for Coppin State. Projects include funding for the Nursing School, programmatic funding for research, and funds for infrastructure projects.

    In addition, Monument Strategies successfully helped Coppin State work with the Maryland Congressional delegation to amend the Higher Education Act (HEA). This effort resulted in the creation of a new section in the HEA for HBCU's that have graduate programs. This new section of the HEA provides annual funding for Coppin State's School of Nursing. Coppin State University is a historically black college located in Baltimore, Maryland. It is part of the University System of Maryland.

  5. Astronics-DME Corporation


    Astronics-DME Corporation has worked with Monument Strategies for a decade. Astronics-DME Corporation hired Monument Strategies to help it build a Capitol Hill presence as well as to ensure the annual appropriation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) budget for runway lighting systems are adequate. Year after year, Monument Strategies has worked with the U.S. Congress to successfully ensure that lighting systems at our nation's airports are sufficiently funded, which has resulted in greater public safety for millions of passengers every year.
